BILL PAYMENT SERVICE
This is your bill paying agreement with Farmers State Bank. You may use Farmers State Bank's bill paying service, Bill Pay, to direct Farmers State Bank to make payments from your designated checking account to the Payees you choose in accordance with this agreement. The terms and conditions of the Agreement are in addition to the Account agreements, disclosures and other documents in effect from time to time governing your Account (the Account Rules).
"You" or "your" means each person who is an authorized signer on the account or is otherwise authorized to use the Service. "Payee" means anyone, including the Financial Institution, you designate and the Financial Institution accepts as a payee.
HOW TO SET UP PAYEE/PAYMENTS
When you sign on to the bill payment system you will establish your list of Payees. You may add a new fixed payment for any payee, but only if they are on your authorized list of payees. If the payee is not set up for electronic payments, the service will generate a paper check for payment. The check will carry your account number and will clear directly through your account. A unique check number will appear on your statement for easy recognition. Farmers State Bank reserves the right to refuse the designation of a payee for any reason. Farmers State Bank is not responsible if a Bill Payment cannot be made due to incomplete, incorrect, or outdated information provided by you regarding a Payee.
THE BILL PAYING PROCESS
Farmers State Bank will process variable payments on the business day you designate the bill is to be processed. Saturday, Sunday, and a Federal holiday are not considered business days. The bill will be processed provided the payment request is received prior to the cut-off time set by Farmers State Bank, which is currently 6:59 PM (Mountain Time). Single bill requests received after this time or at any time on a non-business day will be processed on the next business day. Farmers State Bank reserves the right to change the cut-off time by giving you notice if it changes.
You must select a Payment Date that is at least five (5) business days before the actual Due Date reflected on your Payee statement for check payments and 3 days for electronic payments. If your actual Due Date falls on a non-business day you must select a Payment Date that is at least one business day before the actual Due Date. Payment dates should be prior to any late date or grace period.
When you have scheduled a payment, you authorize Farmers State Bank to debit your selected Funding Account and remit funds on your behalf. You certify that your selected Funding Account is an account from which you are authorized to make payments and any payment you make will be debited from this account. You also authorize the credit of returned payments from using the Bill Pay Service.
The Bill Pay Service will incur no liability and a Service Guarantee shall be void if the Bill Pay Service is unable to complete any payments initiated because of any of the following:
You agree to have available collected funds on deposit in the account you designate in amounts sufficient to pay for all Bill Payments requested, as well as, any other payment obligations you have to Farmers State Bank. Farmers State Bank reserves the right, without liability, to reject or reverse a Bill Payment if you fail to comply with this requirement or any other terms of this agreement. If you do not have sufficient funds in the Account and Farmers State Bank has not exercised its right to reverse or reject Bill Payment, you agree to pay for such payment obligations on demand. You further agree that Farmers State Bank, at its option, may charge your accounts with Farmers State Bank to cover such payment obligations.
The Bill Pay Service reserves the right to select the method in which to remit funds on your behalf to your Payee.
Any Bill Payment can be changed or canceled, provided you access the Service prior to the cut-off time on the business day prior to the business day the Bill Payment is going to be initiated.
In using the Service, you understand that the Service and/or the United States Postal Service may return payments for various reasons, such as, but not limited to, the account number is not valid; the Bill Pay service is unable to locate the account; or Payee account is paid in full. The Service will use its best efforts to research and correct the returned payment, or void the payment and credit your Payment account. You may receive notification from the Service.
You are solely responsible for controlling the safekeeping of and access to, your password. You are liable for all transactions you make or that you authorize another person to make even if that person exceeds his or her authority. If you want to terminate another person's authority, you must notify us and arrange to change the password. We are not responsible for a Bill Payment that is not made if you did not properly follow the instructions for making a Bill Payment. We are not liable for any failure to make a Bill Payment if you fail to promptly notify us after you learn that you have not received credit from a Payee for a Bill Payment. For any qualifying purchases during the current month, we will distribute the lump sum amount to you during the following calendar month. For example, if the payment date of all rewards end user disbursements is August 30, the applicable Measurement Period would be the calendar month ended July 31. Cash rewards will be deposited in the Purchase Rewards Offers deposit account which is associated with the Purchase Rewards Offers program.
Purchase Rewards Offers Account. You must use the debit card associated with the Purchase Rewards Offers account in order to receive the offers which qualify for the rewards. Rewards will not be earned for any portion of your purchase that you pay for with store credit, gift certificates or other payment types.
Purchases must be made as indicated in the offers made available under the Purchase Rewards Offers program. Each offer will specify whether the purchase can be made online, at a store location, or by telephone to be eligible for rewards. You must also comply with any guidelines included with the offer, such as offer expiration dates, minimum purchase amounts, purchase limits, etc. You must also pay using the debit card associated with the account that received the Purchase Rewards offer in order for the purchase to qualify.
While we and the merchants work hard to properly track and credit all eligible purchases, there may be times that we are unable to do so because of problems with your internet browser, the merchant's web site or our system. Please contact our support team if you believe you have made a qualifying purchase for which you did not receive Rewards.
Please note that you will not earn rewards as part of this program if you use a debit card not issued by us or do not have the designated deposit account opened with us at the time of disbursement.
